Ansel Adams, Self Portrait, Monument Valley, Utah, Silver Gelatin Print 1958

Ansel Adams inspired millions of viewers with his images and thousands of students with his teaching. He was a founder of Friends of Photography, a not-for-profit visual arts organization that in its over three decades of service hosted workshops, exhibited work and published many books.

For more about Ansel Adams, I suggest his autobiography, which is a very readable and enjoyable book exploring his views and life in photography and environmental activism. More links are available on the opening page.
