A sudden thrust carries
the rock and its strength
off center, leaving the gouges, the scrapes of a remembered hold. Imprints bursting, reacting. A depression left by the tidal move now holds the rock offering a reprieve
from the strike. Darker hours subside as the open hand of nature sets it free again to find a new center in life.
